Foster Youth Crisis in Texas: 186 Children Sleeping in State Offices
Foster care in the state of Texas has reached a critical level, with 186 children reported to be sleeping in offices. Officials say that the number of children sleeping in Texas Department of Family and Protective Services offices reached its highest level in five years. According to a spokesperson for the agency, many of the youth staying in the offices have complex psychological and emotional needs.
